Our Grandparents Do More Than Just Raise…

Our memories of grandparents are usually so special, they play a much bigger role in our lives than we sometimes think.
Our grandparents do more than just raise...

There are certain words that bring back precious memories of our childhood. These memories are like treasures that remind us of a simpler time… A time when, even with so little, we had everything. One of those treasures that made our childhood so rich are our grandparents.

Grandfathers and grandmothers seem to exist to make their grandchildren happy. Not only do they help raise their grandchildren, they do it in a big way!

For starters , our grandparents are magical. They do so much more than participate in raising children. Their role is no longer to raise children, but to make them smile.

Grandparents comfort their grandchildren and also make them laugh. They are known for their complicity. They are grandparents who know how to spoil their grandchildren in a special way.

But what does it actually mean to be a grandparent? That’s what we’d like to talk about today.

We want to talk about the undeniable importance of our grandfathers and grandmothers. In addition, we want to give those endearing people the credit they deserve. After all, they have showered our lives with love. They have left unforgettable traces on us. The memory of them will live on in our hearts forever.

Grandparents do more than just raise

Grandparents’ hearts overflow with love when they look at their children’s children. They proudly watch their grandchildren grow up with the passage of time. They feel a love and devotion to them that is impossible to express in words.

Grandparents not only help raise their grandchildren, but they provide them with everything they know. They are sources of truth and wisdom, and their stories teach us about justice, love and courage.

They make their experience and personal stories available to their grandchildren. And so they help those little creatures to discover their origins and develop their own identity.

Grandparents do more than just raise

Grandparents form characters and form their grandchildren with sweetness and tenderness. And so  they sculpt them with patience and serenity. They inhale the innocence of their grandchildren and exhale endless love. They share secrets and earn the full trust of their grandchildren.

“Grandparenting” means singing with love and devotion and  giving everything you have. But above all, it means listening attentively, offering comfort and offering the best and fairest advice.

It also means giving the encouragement that their young descendants sometimes need. Encouragement to find courage and face challenges.

Being grandparents for your grandchild is a synonym of love

Being a grandparent sometimes means forgetting physical pain—and sometimes even emotional pain—to free your mind and body. With what purpose? To be able to play with their grandchildren and also be their accomplices and counselors.

Grandparents can also build bridges and close generational gaps or geographical distances.

Grandparents don’t just care, no, they care big! And this is more than evident when we reflect on what makes them so unique, special and unforgettable in our memory: the unconditional and unwavering love they feel for their grandchildren.

Our grandparents fill in the gaps that our parents sometimes don’t see. For example, they’re the hugs our parents can’t always give us—those healing hugs, that comforting pat, just at the right time. They are the sweet aroma that will remain in our memory forever.

Grandparents are synonymous with quality time, gifts, trips, sweets, adventures and much more. They are a tender look that illuminates our lives. And now, though they may be a star in the sky, that star lights our path and, moreover, guides us every step of the way.

Our grandparents live in our hearts, forever and ever. Even when they die

Grandparents are like magicians. Although they are not physically present, they are present in our lives, forever. They have the gift to live on in our memories forever. And although they can no longer hold our hand, they do live in our hearts forever.

Our grandparents live in our hearts

Our grandparents, those great people, are immortalized in the seeds they planted in our garden. Seeds that are now trees and look down on us. They are also immortalized by the smell of cooked meals for the whole family, by family vacations.

And so they live on in all that they have taught us and passed on to us. And above all, they live on in those faded photos that remind us not only of who we were, but above all who we are.

The legacy left by our grandparents is immortalized in our hearts as time passes. Thanks to them, we are who we are. They were a vital part of our childhood, our youth and what we learned. And thanks to their ‘great care’, they are a part of our present and of our future…
